Logic

Charlie: Can I have some more yogurt?
Me: Sure.
(I get out the yogurt and watch Charlie put his spoon in the sink.)
Me: Why did you put your spoon in the sink?
Charlie: It had yogurt on it.

NY Red Bulls Game

I will have more pictures as I get them. But a friend posted this on Facebook, and I thought it was pretty great.

AJ is Famous!

AJ and Shawn went to the NY Bulls Game with AJ's team. The team even got to walk out on the field with the professionals. It looks like AJ and 2 of his teammates made it onto t.v. I'm so glad Shawn was able to send me a picture of the momentous occasion!

Some Soccer Pictures

When Shawn and AJ were in Portugal, they got Charlie a soccer jersey from the official Benfica store. We had him try it on. And he fit right in with all of the players at last week's game. The brainwashing can never really start too early.

I got some pictures of AJ in action, which is always fun. Also, I made the mistake of letting Charlie have the camera and I now also have about 20 pictures of one of the coach's butt. That makes sense since Charlie is about waist high. I did make Shawn aware of the situation in case he happen to be on my computer one day and get the wrong idea.

Another Birthday Party

One of Charlie's buddies had a birthday party today. I don't usually post pictures of other people's parties unless they are close family friends. But this birthday party was unbelievable. It was a a super hero theme. They had Spiderman himself come and do face painting and balloon animals. There was also a Justice League bounce house and superhero themed cupcakes. But the best was that the mom had made capes for each kid with their first initial on them.

I tried to take pictures to show all the cool things they had. My favorite picture was the one of Charlie running away from me with his cape flying. I also got one of him talking to Spiderman at the end of the party. He was asking Spiderman where his car was. The moms at the party were impressed that Spidy ran down the block and turned a corner to his car, which was parked out of sight.

Charlie and Malachi's Birthday Party

We had Charlie's birthday party today. We joined forces with his friend, Malachi's family and it was great. We had a really nice turn out. About 16 kids and their families came. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, had cupcakes and a piñata. The entertainment was to let the kids play at the park. It was very simple and it went great.

The wind was blowing pretty hard the whole time and it was hard to keep the decorations in place. We didn't end up opening any of the presents because I was worried that the paper would be clear across the park in all of 2 minutes. The piñata was a huge hit (no pun intended) but we needed AJ to make the final hit that broke it. He also lent his services to hanging the piñata in the tree by climbing the tree with some rope. The rope came from Malachi's grandma who just happen to have it with her from her last zip-lining experience in Costa Rica. The woman is amazing. If I ever get stuck out in the wilderness, I want to be stuck with her. She was prepared.

It was a great party and the boys seemed to have had a great time.

Happy 4th birthday Charlie!

Haircuts!

With Charlie's birthday party tomorrow, Shawn took matters into his own hands and took the boys to get their hair cut. Once AJ said he wanted a haircut, Charlie was on board.

I asked Charlie if he cried and he said "Only a little." Progress.

Charlie then told the pizza delivery man that he had gotten a haircut "Just like my brother." When the pizza guy told him it looked good, Charlie very politely told him that he liked his hair too.
