Charlie and I were singing "Old McDonald had a Farm" last night. We were doing a silly version involving all our family members (including the cats). When it got to my name, I joked that I didn't want to sing anymore. Charlie looked at me sternly and said, "Mom, you are going to the farm."

When You are Pouting. . .

it is important to wear a helmet in case you want to bang your head on something.

Somebody Should Really Write A Song . .

And it should say something about spacious skies and amber waves of grain. Oh, wait. I think somebody already did.

Feaky Plants In My Backyard

And by freaky, I mean totally cool.

And speaking of freaky. . . then I pushed a random button on my camera and this happened:

A Visit From the 'Rents (AKA- Grand-'Rents)

My parents made the trek out to AZ last weekend. My dad had a job in Tucson, so they drove up from there to visit. And it was great. They took us out to dinner. They babysat the kids so I could study. They babysat the kids again so we could have a date night. And then babysat them yet again so that I could study some more. (I don't know if you have heard, but I am in grad school and all I do is study. )

I didn't get too many pictures because I kept forgetting my camera, and then the other times, the kids were with my parents. But here is a sampling:

This first one cracks me up. We are all sitting around the coffee shop playing with our iPhones. We spent the weekend swapping Apps and texting each other.

These are homemade bagels I attempted. They didn't come out too bad. I bought some different yeast and will try them again this weekend. They weren't quite as fluffy as I had hoped.
