I Think There Are Bigger Issues Here. . .

A spelling word this week was "beard". The assignment was to write a declarative, negative and interrogative sentence with a spelling word. My student wrote the following: 

I drink the beard.  

I do not drink the beard. 

Do I drink the beard?

Next week, I'm going to teach them how to spell vodka. 

Shhhh! Don't Tell

So I guess AJ told his friends that I work in a not so nice neighborhood. 

He was telling them about the guy that jumped on the roof and stole the copper. His friends asked if I taught during the incident. He told them yes. Then his friend said: "Wow your mom is a bad-ass."  

I didn't have the heart to tell him that the whole incident had no effect on me whatsoever.
