We tried to go kite flying today since it was a windy day. It did not go well. Frustration was the word of the day. The kite was a stunt kite and probably should have been used by someone who actually flew kites on a regular basis. So on the way home, I told AJ the story of Thomas Edison, and how many lightbulb prototypes he had to go through before he found one that worked. AJ's response? "What do lightbulbs have to do with kite flying?" So I went to my back-up plan and did a lecture on perseverance in my best Pa Ingalls imitation. For the record, that had no affect either.
